When to seek urgent help

- Severe inability to care for basic needs suddenly
- Medical emergency (seizure, injury, overdose, etc.)
Supporting an autistic person in crisis
- Reduce sensory load when safe (lights, noise, crowds)
- Use clear, short language; allow processing time
- Do not restrain unless trained and legally/medically necessary
- Share diagnosis/support needs with responders when it improves safety
